Let me clarify this post: smoking is not cool, it just looks cool. Believe me, as a former smoker I understand all the health risks associated with smoking and it's a real bummer. Still, images of people smoking are fascinating and usually very stylish. There's something really sexy about it but obviously it helps when the subject is attractive, otherwise yes it is gross.

This makes me emotional - definitely one of my all time favs hands down. Photographed by Peter Lindbergh (a legend) and styled by Grace Coddington (pure genius) in Brooklyn for the September 1991 issue of American Vogue, this goes down in history as one of the most iconic editorials of the 20th century. I remember staring at these images for days before ripping them out to make a huge collage featuring Cindy Crawford, Tatjana Patitz, Helena Christensen, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Karen Mulder and Stephanie Seymour. I can't believe it's been 20 years...

Mariacarla Boscono is having quite the season. She's one of the veterans of the industry and it's good to see her looking better than ever! Loewe got it right for Fall 2011 with super pale skin, high gloss, and scoring Mert & Marcus behind the lens.

Constance Jablonski is the quintessential chic Parisienne for Sonia Rykiel's Fall 2011 campaign photographed by Cedric Buchet. When I was a teen I would venture into my local Rykiel boutique (sadly no longer there) and pretend I was older, more glamourous, and super rich. I don't think I was fooling anyone...

Dolce and Gabbana are the masters of the group shot. This season's campaign has a whole bunch of the "it" girls: Isabeli Fontana, Liu Wen, Maryna Linchuk, Constance Jablonski, Jac Jagaciak, and Kate King all captured by Steven Klein.

OK Elle Fanning kind of freaks me out. The fact that she's 13 and I'm obsessed with her makes me feel stupid. Well I guess I'm not alone cause the girl is on fire and Marc Jacobs is obsessed too. Juergen Teller shooting as usual.

After Florence we made our way to our country house on the east coast. I love going there but the trek from the Pacific to the Atlantic is a killer and we don't get out there as much as we'd like to. This time was a bit easier though coming from Europe. Two weeks in the country is a good thing as Martha would say, and a huge departure from our life in the city. It's funny, every time people see photos of the house they automatically assume I'm responsible for the decor but certain people know it's all my husband. He's an interior designer and I really can't take any credit for what goes on in the house. He has an impeccable eye and style for days. Here's some gratuitous shots for your viewing pleasure.

With unlimited access to Chanel couture and its archives, the couple shot over 300 looks and pay homage to Nordic stars such as Carmen Kass, Helena Christensen, and Freja Beha Erichsen. At 384 pages with the preface written by Karl Lagerfeld and a portion of the proceeds going to Save the Children, this book is sure to be a best seller - put me down for one!

I'm not really one to complain all that much about weather but this is ridiculous. We've been having the worst Spring on record and I can't remember late May ever being this bad. I wore my parka yesterday for God's sake! So today I'm looking at the current Ferragamo campaign and starting to think it's time for a vacation. Daria Werbowy and Clément Chabernaud look tres chic lounging poolside like they just don't give a shit. Photographed by Mikael Jansson and styled by Anastasia Barbieri, the shoot took inspiration from Jacques Deray’s 1968 French film "La Piscine" which translates to The Pool. I really like Ferragamo and I always have. They have a true understated, casual elegance thing going on and even though they don't have the flash and hype of an LV or Chanel, this luxury Italian house is doing just fine.

Tom Ford can do no wrong in my books. His Spring 2011 collection was beyond and the way he showed it proves he's a creative genius with taste. I think an intimate setting done in an old school, couture salon environment is so civilized and chic! I love Constance Jablonski's look. She's got the sweet and pretty thing down pat but then she can turn it up with pure high fashion drama. I had a hard time deciding which pictures to post cause they're all so damn good! Since entering the French Elite Model Look Contest of 2006, she made her runway debut in September of 2008 and hasn't looked back. Bonafide French girl, keen tennis player, and overall stunner Constance (I love that name by the way) is my new model crush!
